Just starting to write again in this Blog after such a long time. This morning i want to share something about the Title of this blog. DEER FEET.
One of my favorite verse in the Bible is:
| 2 Samuel 22:34 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. |
| Psalms 18:33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. |
| Habakkuk 3:19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. |
the verse shows the total surrender to providence of GOD that enable us to go on the heights. Heights meanings through each and every difficulties in life.
A Deer can step on the heights gracefully, because it has light ergonomic feet that are designed that way. from here i also acknowledge the wonder of BIBLE that using the feet of deer as a comparison, not the feet of horse that are famous for speed.
Horses seldom go on heights, they may have the power, (that’s why one of universal unit for power using HP, as abbreviation of Horse Power) but they don’t have the agility, endurance to step on heights, as perfect as deer. Let us take a look of how a deer ran through heights, compare with a horse that has to carry such mass.
Or even BIBLE don not use feet of lamb/ sheep, even though those animals are famous in our BIBLE. but lamb/sheep more presenting our weakness in differentiating the right way, and the strength to acknowledge the voices of its sheperd, not the ability to endure stepping on heights.
To me, a deer shows livelihood, simplicity, gracefulness. And from witnessing how a deer gaze through heights shows how wonderfully our GOD the creator creates the creations.
Let us in this complicated corrupted world, eagerly strive to live in livelihood, simplicity and gracefullness as our perfect GOD is a Great Caring God.
